  Niagara Gazette - 5/27/1957 Former Falls Athlete Dies Funeral services for John J. Sullivan, 62, who died yesterday (May 26, 1957), will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rhoney Funeral Home and at 11 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Mr. Sullivan had a heart attack at his home, 2101 North Ave. A native of this city, he was active in baseball and track during his youth and was a member of the Essex Club, a former semipro baseball team. He was formerly employed at the old Cliff Paper Co. and for the last 25 years at Kimberly- Clark, where he was head shipper. Surviving are his wife. Veronica Sullivan: two daughters, Mrs. James Dowling and Mrs. Alex Rountree: five sisters, Mrs. Peter Crotty, Mrs. Robert Argy. Mrs. Winifred Beck and the Misses Ann and Margaret Sullivan; and three grandchildren. Mr. Sullivan was a member of Sacred Heart Holy Name Society, which will recite the Rosary at 8:15 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
