Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Armstrong, of
Hyde Park boulevard, announce the
engagement of their daughter, Hope
V to Andrew Swift, son of Mr. and
Mrs. George H. Swift, Sr., of Willow
avenue.

The marriage of Miss Hope V. Armstrong,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.
L. Armstrong, of Hyde Park boulevard,
to Andrew P. Swift, son of Mr.
and Mrs. George H. Swift, of 2468
Willow avenue, was solemnized at 3
o'clock on Saturday in the parsonage
of the First Evangelical church, the
Rev. George C. Meyer officiating.
The bride wore a white crepe ensemble,
white accessories and a corsage
of Johanna Hill roses and sweet
peas. Her only attendant, Mrs.
Arthur Mulslner, wore a pink and blue
ensemble with matching accessories
and a corsage of Johanna Hill roses
and sweet peas. Charles F. Armstrong
attended the groom.
Following the ceremony a lunchcon
was held for the bridal party at
the Red Coach Inn. The table was
centered with a bowl of roses and
sweet peas, flanked by pink tapers in
silver holders. Mr. and Mrs. Swift
have left on a motor trip to the New
England states and on their return
will make theler home at 2468 Whitney
avenue.
Pre-nuptlal affairs included a personal
shower given by the Swastika
club; a variety shower by Mrs. Arthur
Muisiner and Mrs. Jean Dick; a tea
given by Mrs. Florence Martin and
the Misses Frances Balliet, Myrtle
Way and Elizabeth Tempest and a
kitchen shower by Miss Faith Armstrong.
