H.F. BUGENHAGEN ILL 1 YEAR, DIES
LOCKPORT - A retired bank custodian, Herman F. Bugenhagen, 84, of 223 Waterman St., died Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 13, 1965) at his home. He had been ill one year. Born Jun 18, 1880 in Clarence Center, the son of Theodore and Louisa Brunning Bugenhagen, he has lived here 60 years. He was formerly employed at the united Board and Carton Co. here for 15 years and later worked as custodian
of the Lohrman Building for five years. He was employed as custodian at the Niagara County bank office of the Marine Trust Co. of Western New York for 30 years before his retirement 10 years ago. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Lockport. He and his wife, Lydia Dewitz Bugenhagen, were married Nov. 29, 1922, in Buffalo. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Howard Wendel and Mrs. Harold Conlin, both of Lockport, and Mrs. Arnold Luskey. Middleport; two sons, Emory F. and Raymond H. Bugenhagen,
both of Lockport a sister, Mrs. Marvin Raquet, Clarence Center; two brothers Fred Bugenhagen, Lockport. and Edward Bugenhagen, North Tonawanda; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Lange Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service
will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by Rev. Harry D. Hawthorne, pastor of the First English Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Clarence Center
