  Shirley M. (Taylor) Metzler of Ransomville, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017.  She was 82.  She was born in Niagara Falls on June 13, 1935, a daughter of the late Leon and Mae E. (Sterner) Taylor. She graduated from LaSalle High School and then worked as a nurse’s aide at Stella Niagara for many years. She enjoyed making gift cards for her daughters' company, BisketBaskets.com, loved to do scrapbooking and gardening but her greatest joy was her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Melvin Metzler and four daughters: Linda (Robert) Leggett, Sherry ("Chip”) Davis, Melody (Timothy) Curry and Gail (fiancé Steven Coopwood) Bohall.  She is also survived by her sister Carol (Dr. Roger) Moretz, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls on Tuesday from 5-8 PM with funeral services being held at 8 immediately following the visitation.  Burial will be on Thursday in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Julian, Pennsylvania.
