- James Edward Thorman, age 91 of Deer Park Texas, formerly of Niagara Falls, entered into rest on October 26, 2024 at his residence, under Hospice care. Born in Franklin, Ohio on September 29, 1933; son of the late Otto and Dorothy (Gephart) Thorman. Jim is a United States Navy Veteran, serving from 1952-1956. Jim was employed as a truck driver, until his retirement. Hobbies and interest included antique cars, motorcycles- of which he drove many different makes and models over the years. His home was filled with amazing and beautiful to silly funny antiques that he bought and collected.Survivors include his loving wife, Marylou (Chapman) Thorman; four sons, James (Catherine) Thorman, David (Wendy) Thorman, Mark (Lynn) Thorman, and Paul (Eva) Tedesco; a daughter, Debbie (Paul) Konek; grandchildren, David James Thorman, Joe LaSpada, Eric Thorman, Tammy Jones, Aaron (Nicole) Thorman, Mark (Stephanie) Thorman, Josh (Tiffany) Thorman, Janet (Jake) Edwards, Adam (Elizabeth) Thorman; and 18 great-grandchildren.Also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Tracz; two granddaughters, Amber and Caroline Thorman; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Thorman.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Saturday (November 2) from 1-4 p.m., with services immediately following at 4:00 p.m. Interment with military honors, will take place in Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Town of Lewiston, NY, on Monday (November 4) at 2:00 p.m.
