- NIAGARA FALLS Raymond H. Kelly, 73, of Sanborn, NY, died Tuesday May 18, 2010, at home with his loving sons, while under care of Niagara Hospice. Raymond was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on December 4, 1936, the son of Clarence and Gertrude (Stallard), where he attended local schools and was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School. He was employed as a steamfitter, through Steamfitter's Local # 22, where he was a 50-year member, on numerous manufacturing plants in Western New York. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Bergholz, NY. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, the former Arlene F. Szarejko, on August 23, 2003 He hobbies including traveling and maintaining his rental properties. Ray especially enjoyed spending time with his two son's, friends and family. Surviving is his two sons, Ronald R. Kelly of Niagara Falls, NY, Michael S. Kelly of Sanborn, NY; his brothers, Robert Kelly of Boca Raton, FL; Donald (Sara) Kelly of North Tonawanda, NY; sisters, Doris (Robert) DeWees of Canada; Betty Shackle of North Tonawanda, Muriel (Kenneth) Ferchen of Bergholz, NY, Diane (John) Farino of North Tonawanda, NY; a sister-in-law, Lois M. (William) Siebert of Voorhees, NJ; brothers-in-law, Dr. Victor P. (Crystal) Szarejko, of Youngstown, NY and Howard Miller of Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Beverly Miller. The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, with Rev. Philip N. Sallach officiating. Should friends desire, memorials in Ray's memory may be made to the Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or the Sanborn Fire Company.
