  Niagara Gazette - 3/23/1940 Word has been received here of the death in Washington, D. C., of William Wrege, Sr., 72-year-old former resident of the Town of Wheatfield. He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Herman and William, Jr., of North Tonawanda, and Walter, of Dunkirk, and three daughters, Mrs. Otto Zimmerman and Mrs. George Sattelberg, of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Hubert holland, of this city. Twenty grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held in Washington on Wednesday.
