  NF Gazette BERGHOLTZ, Oct. 24.-John Badrow of this village died at his home Friday after a lingering illness. He is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Herman (Wrege) of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Elsie Licht of the Lockport road and Emma and Esther; one son, Rudolph, at home, and 12 grandchildren. His wife was the late Emilie Kahring Badrow, who was burned to death in her home when she was starting a fire in her kitchen range with kerosene oil. The can exploded, setting fire to her clothing. She ran outside the house and the flames were extinguished by her husband. Then she ran back into the house to save several children who had already jumped out of the bedroom window. She was burned to death in the fire which destroyed the home.
