Viola S. Ridenour , 92, a resident of Cottage Grove Place, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Dr. Jeremy Brigham will officiate. Entombment: Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and at the chapel after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include a nephew, C. Russ Campbell and wife Mary of Waukegan, Ill.; two great-nephews, Alex Campbell and wife Melinda of Rosemont, Minn., and Kevin Campbell and wife Gillian of Downers Grove, Ill.; and four great-nieces, Megan, Elizabeth, Hannah and Abigail.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Orpha Campbell.
Viola was born July 18, 1908, in Keystone, to C.R. and Catherine Jacobs Snow. She married Charles Ridenour on Oct. 27, 1932, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1955. Viola was the attendance secretary at Washington High School from August 1957 to 1972. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of American Colonists.
