- Gilbert Bucci, Jr., 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 28, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Onorina (Palombella) Bucci, Sr.
In June of 1967, Gilbert married the love of his life, Diane L. (Reed) Bucci, in Niagara Falls, NY. He was employed for 36 years at Carborundum Corporation as a Machine Operator as well as in the Abrasives Division until his retirement in 2003. Gilbert enjoyed golfing, bowling, and watching sports, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. He also was a gun enthusiast, and loved watching old movies and television programs, especially Abbott and Costello and The Three Stooges. Gilbert has a great love for animals, and will be remembered most for his passionate personality and his love of food! Above all, he cherished every moment he spent with his wife and children.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, Gilbert is survived by his children, Mark (Staci) Bucci and Nori Bucci, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings, Alemondo (late Anna) Bucci, Naldo (late Fernanda) Bucci, and Dino (Adele) Bucci.
In accordance with Gilbert’s wishes, there will be no prior visitation. Private interment and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
