SANBORN. Nov. 20.—A pretty
autumn wedding was solemnized at
the Sanborn Methodist church at 4
o'clock Saturday afternoon when
Miss Janice M. LeVan. daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice LeVan. Buffalo
avenue, became the bride of
Douglas W. Hall, son of Mrs. George
Manley. Lockport. The Rev. Elmer
W. Verguson officiated at the double
ring ceremony.
The'church was beautifully decorated
with mums and fern. The bride
entered the church on the arm of her
father, to the strains of Logengrin's
wedding march, played by Murray
Harburn. Robert E. Eberhardt, the
soloist, sand, "Because," and "The
Lord's Prayer."
The bride wore a gown of candlelight
satin, fashioned with a fitted
bodice accented with a pointed yoke
of real French Alencon lace with a
scotter pearl trim and small lace collar.
The full skirt worn over a hoop
extended into a full cathedral length
train. Tiny pearls enhanced the satin
cap which held the illusion veil. She
carried bridal roses with lilies of the
valley.
Mrs. Robert Dcngler, Jamestown,
cousin of the bride, was matron of
honor. She wore an emerald green
velvet and tulle strapless gown with
at matching velvet cloche with halo
veil and carried a green velvet muff
with white roses and mums.
The two bridesmaids. Miss Linda
Hopkins. Wilson, and Miss Pauline
Meilke, Sanborn, were dressed alike
in gowns of American beauty velvet
and tulle with cloche and carried
matching muffs with white roses and
mums.
Miss Carol Boniface. Rochester,
flower girl, wore a green velvet gown
with poke bonnet and carried a basket
of rust colored mums.
Ralph Nankey. Tonawanda, best
man. and the ushers were Ronald
LeVan and Donald Martin. Sanborn.
The bride's mother chose a dress
of blue iridescent taffeta with light
blue accessories and wore a corsage
of pink camellias. The bridegroom's
mother wore black with white acces-
sories and a corsage of pink camel-
lias.
Following the ceremony, a reception
for 250 juests was held at the
fireball in Bcrgholtz. Music was furnished
by Byron Jackson's orchestra.
Mr. and Mrs. Hall left on a trip
to Florida and points south and on
their return will make their home in
Griffon street, Sanborn.
Pre-nuptial events included: variety
shower, by Mrs. H. J. Boniface and
Mrs. Robert Dengler; linen shower,
Mrs. Ross Johnson; variety shower.
Mrs. Alberta McCann and Mrs. Eugene
Hoover; variety shower, Miss
Lois Wcthy; variety shower. Miss
Pauline Meilke, and a dinner and
shower by the girls of the Niagara
Mohawk office.
The bridegroom, who was recently
discharged from the service after
serving in Korea, was honored at a
bachelor dinner by Ralph Nankey.
Out-of-town guests were from
Rochester. Jamestown, Wilson. Ransomville.
Niagara Falls and Lockport.
