NEWFANE-Lester N. Weir,
65, co-owner of the Niagara
Implement Co., Lockport-Olcott
Road, died today (Sept. 3, 1967)(sic)
in Mount View Hospital, Lockport,
where he had been taken
Monday. He had been in ill
health, for some time.
Born July 31, 1902, at Rome,
N.Y., he was a son of Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Weir. He came
to Newfane 15 years -ago from
Wolcottsville.
He was a member of .the
Wolcottsville Exempt Firemen
and was a past fire chief.
Survivors include his wife,
. Irene; two sons. Howard, of
Newfane and Donald of Rochester;
a daughter, Mrs. Carl
(Mary Ann) Dunlap of Niagara
Falls and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Rut-
land-Corwin Funeral Home be-
ginning at 7 p.m. today and
may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. at the funeral home.
Services will be held at the
funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday
with the Rev. Robert Klingbiel,
of Faith Lutheran Church,
officiating.
