NORTH TONAWANDA-
Frank Sikora, 55, of 685 Oliver
St., died Thursday (Dec 12, 1957)
in Kenmore Mercy Hospital after
a long illness.
Born in Poland, he lived in this
city for the last 56 years. He was
proprietor of a tavern at the Oliver
St. address until his illness. He
was avtice in planning the new
Our Lady of Czestoshowa Church
and as chairman of the ground-
breaking committee turned the first
shovel of earth for the new church.
He was the father of the late
Stephen Sikora, first twin cities
man killed in World War II - at
Pearl Harbor - for whom Stephen
Sikora Post, American Legion, was
named.
Mr. Sikora was a member of St.
Joseph's PRCU and the ZMC So-
ciety.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stel-
la Tomkiewicz Sikora, two sons,
Leonard Sikora, Ridgewood, N.J.,
and Joseph Sikora, this city; a
daughter, Mrs. Chester Pisarek, this
city, and eight grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 9:#0 a.m.
Monday in Niagara Memorial
Chapel. A Requiem Mass will be
offered at 10 a.m., in Our Lady of
Czestochowa Church. Burial will
be in Mount Oliver Cemetery.
