SANBORN. Dec. 29 - Charles
F. Treichler, 78, died at his home,
Saunders Settlement road, yesterday
after a prolonged illness.
Mr. Treichler Is survived by his
wife. Florence Nichols, at home; a
daughter. Mrs. Clifford Campbell,
West street; four sons, G. Mark
Treichler, Wilbur E. Treichler,
Charles Lloyd Treichler, of Saunders
Settlement road, and Harold
E. Treichler. Ward road; four brothers,
Lorin W. Treichler, Dunellen,
N. J.. Dr. Claude L. Treichler. Philadelphia,
Pa., Abram B. Treichler,
Colonial village, and Harry J. Treichler,
Saunders Settlement road; four
sisters, Mrs. A. E. Reid. Buffalo
avenue; Mrs. William Truesdale, West
street; Mrs. William N. Langworthy,
Rochester, and Miss Hazel M. Treichler,
Saunders Settlement road; 15
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mr. Treichler was the eldest son
of the late Eli J. Treichler and Elizabeth
Landis Treichler and was born
September 24, 1874, in the Lockport
road three miles east of Sanborn.
He was a successful florist for the
past 50 years having established his
business in 1902.
Mr. Treichler was a former member
ot Pekin Grange, a member of
Lewiston Rotary club, of which he
Was I past president, a member and
past president of Sanborn Volunteer
Fire-company and a member of San-
born Lions club. He was a trustee
of Sanborn school, District 8, for 27
years and a member of Lewiston
Town Board for 23 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday
at 2 p. m. at the Pike Fu-
neral home, Hoover road, where
friends may call this evening and
thereafter. The Rev. George Bost,
Lewiston. will officiate. Interment
will be in Mount View cemetery
Pekin.
