- SANBORN — Wesley "Kelly" Warner, 90, of Sanborn, NY, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, in the Niagara Hospice House, in Lockport, NY, following a brief illness. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on September 21, 1919, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Haston) Warner, a life long resident of Sanborn, NY, where he attended local schools and the Bryant & Stratton School, in Buffalo, NY. He served in the U.S. Army as a M/Sgt. during WW II. Kelly was employed as a mail carrier at US Post Office in Sanborn, NY, for over 20 years prior to retiring in 1979. He was a member of American Legion Post # 969, Sanborn, NY, for over 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He is survived by a sister, Marie Townsend; and a brother, Robert Warner, both of Sanborn; also survived by also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Thompson. The family will be present on Friday from 6-8 PM, at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday. Interment will be private at convenience of the family in Mount View Cemetery Town of Cambria, NY. Should friends desire, memorials in "Kelly's" memory may be made to the Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14092.
