Miss Alice Volk, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Wallace Volk, of Beebe
road, Newfane, became ,the bride of
John Widmer, son of Fred Wldmer, of
Model City road. Lewiston, on Saturday
at 4:30 o'clock in the parsonage
of the Presbyterian church, Lewiston,
the Rev. Gordon Newfang, pastor of
the church, officiating.
The bride wore a blue krinkle crepe
gown with gold trimming and carried
calla lilies tied with white ribbons.
Mrs. Fred Widmer, of this city, who
was matron of honor, was. attired in
brown crepe with orange trimming.
Her bouquet was talisman roses with
gold tuHe. Mrs. Volk, the bride's
mother, wore a navy blue flowered
crepe gown. Fred Widmer attended
the groom.
A reception for the immediate families
was held flowing the ceremony
at the home of the bride's parents.
Covers were laid for 13 guests at the
bride's table which was centered with
spring flowers of white and yellow.
Mr. and Mrs. Wldmer left on a trip
through eastern New York and on
their return they win make their
home In Model City. The.bride traveled
in a tan suit with brown accessories.
Mrs. Widmer was entertained
before her marriage at a shower given
by the Busy Bee club of the Newfane
Baptist church and a shower given by
her sister, Mrs. Fred Trippensee, of

met at the home of Mary MunzL

and the meeting was changed to
Monday night. The next meeting

on February 19. Little Miss

Miss Mary Polaster, Miss Mary Cloquell,
Miss Maggie Germele, Miss
Isabel Bolton and a new member,
Miss Ola Cmbs, were present.

APPLETON-Mr. and Mrs.
John Widmer, Hess Rd.,
, were honor guests at a dinner
at Harding's Restaurant,
Youngstown. The occasion
marked their 25th wedding
anniversary.
After dinner, the celebration
continued at the home
of the honor guests where
a decorated cake and other
-refreshments were served to
the following guests:
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Widmer,
who were best man and
maid of honor for the couple;
Mrs. Widmer's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Volk
and her brother and his wife,
° Mr. and Mrs. Leo Volk, all of
Newfane; and Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Davis and daughter,
° June, Rochester.
Mr. and Mrs. Widmer have
three children, John Widmer
Jr., who is employed at the
Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester,
and Dwight and Carolyn,
both students at Barker
Central School. Mr. and Mrs.
have always been
residents of Niagara County.
