- Margo J. Beecher (Goater), age 70, was called to her heavenly home on February 25, 2016 at her Sanborn residence. Born May 16, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas and Geraldine (Morath) Goater. Margo attended the River Road School and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School. She was employed at the Niagara Falls Air Base. A former member of the Sanborn Baptist Church, Margo was the crafts director and instructor for the Sanbornite Senior Citizen Group. She enjoyed arts and crafts, was a seamstress and operated the What Knot Barn Craft Store, in Sanborn.
Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Beecher (married June 11, 1966); three children, Paul T. Beecher of Murfreesboro, TN, Christine Beecher of Wheatfield and Amanda Jean Beecher of Murfreesboro, TN; granddaughter, Colleen York, and great-grandson, Chanse Mark Bishop both of Niagara Falls; a sister, Marlene Mueller of Wheatfield; nieces, nephews and close friends. Also pre-deceased by a brother-in-law, Myron 'Mike' Mueller; and parent-in-laws, Daniel and Adelaide Beecher.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jonathon Haseley, on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
