  Niagara Gazette - 4/30/1949 Benjamin J. Winter, 73, died Thursday night at his home, 98 Miller street. A lifelong resident, he was a member of the Firemen's Benevolent association and the Friedens Evangelical and Reformed church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Unferdross Winter; a daughter, Mrs. Siegmund Hoppe, this city; a grandson, William Hoppe, and a sister, Mrs, Ellis Searing, Lockport Last rites will be conducted tomorrow at 2 pm. at the Hamp funeral home 37 Adam street. Interment will be In Friedens cemetery.
