NORTH TONAWANDA — Rachel C. Licht (nee Clark), age 100, of North Tonawanda, August 5, 2010, in Northgate Manor Nursing Home. Rachel was born December 6, 1909 to parents, Albert and Sarah Clark in Fayetteville, AR. She attended Weaton College in Illinois and became a nurse at Buffalo General Hospital in 1932. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She was the wife of the late Willard Plant, who died in 1955, and the late John H. Licht, who died in 1993.
Beloved step-mother of John A. (Marilyn) Licht and Christian H. (Alice) Licht, both of Wheatfield, Donald N. (Jean) Licht of Jackson, TN, Gayle Reischel of North Tonawanda, and the late Doris (late Bill) Abbs. She is survived by 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late James, John, Percy, Florence, Pearl and Victoria. Dearest friend of Ruth Kureszka.
No prior visitation. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM from St. John Lutheran Church (Ward Rd. and Niagara Falls Blvd.), in Wheatfield, the Rev. Ronald Oravec will officiate. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
