MIDDLEPORT - A retired
building contractor, Rudolph
H. Voelker, 71, of 50 S. Main
St., died unexpectedly after
suffering a heart attack Sun-
day afternoon (Oct. 15, 1961).
He and his wife were at Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby,
to pick up an urn from
the family plot when he collapsed
and died before an ambulance
arrived from Medina
Memorial Hospital.
Born .June 24. 1890. In Detroit.
Minn., Mr. Voelker was
a son of Frederick and Fred-
ericka Schroder Voelker. He
lived here most of his life.
He was employed by the Rob-
ertson Lumber co. until his
retirement two years ago.
Mr. Voelker is survived by
his widow, Eva Seaman Voel-
ker; a son, Leighton Voelker,
Snyder; two granddaughters;
four brothers, William, Phillip
and Fred Voelker, all of Lyn-
donville, and Andrew Voelker,
Waterport; and several nieces
and nephews.
Friends may call from 3-5
and 7-9 at the Wallace and
Heath Funeral Home, where
services will be conducted at
2 p.m., Wednesday by Rev. Al-
fred L. Underhill of the Meth-
odist Church. Burial will be
in Hartland Central Ceme-
tery.
