  Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 1/31/1958 LYNDONVILLE - A retired farmer, William A. Balschmiter, 75, died this morning (Jan. 31, 1968) in Medina Memorial Hospi- tal following a week's illness. He had resided in this vicinnity for 43 years since coming to America from Germany in 1914. Born Nov. 15, 1883 to Gruno Germany, he was the son of the late Mr. aad Mrs. Carl Balschmi ter aad was married to the former Martha Kopipzki, of Barker, March 25, 1914. Mr. Balschmiter was a member of the Medina Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors, besides his wife, include three sons. Carl of Lyndon ville; William P. of Hilton and Lester of Medina; three daughters. Mrs. Herbert Church, Lockhaven. Pa., Mrs. Carl Ivisen. Pitts ford, and Mrs. Albert Rook, Spen cerport, one brother, Ernst Balschmiter, Berlin, Germany; one sister. Mrs. Helen Benz, Gruno. Germany and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 at the Smythe Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Llndke, Shelby Center, officiating. Burial will be to Lynhaven Cemetery.
