- May 27, 2014 Virginia "Ginny" Kopp Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Tue May 27, 2014, 01:25 PM EDT NORTH TONAWANDA - Virginia "Ginny" (nee Gentzke) Kopp, age 91, of North Tonawanda, Monday, May 26, 2014 at Northgate Manor Health Care Facility. A lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, she was a retired employee of Niagara Mohawk Power Company. Ginny was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, the Ladies Altar Guild and the church choir. For many years, Ginny packaged and boxed cookies for men and women serving in the US Military. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Kopp; daughter of the late Otto and Lillian (nee Jaenecke) Gentzke; and sister of the late Helen Schulz, Erma Hoffmeister, Verna Wambsganss, twins Rubin and Richard, Raymond, Wilbur, Marvin, Harley, Frank, Walter and Otto, Jr. Gentzke. She is survived by four step-children, Weston and Kendall Kopp, Yvonne Stark and Gayle Wais; and two sisters-in-law, Eleanor (the late Wilbur) Gentzke and Anita Wilson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:30-8:00 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 10:30 AM in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda. The Rev. Steven Naylor will officiate.
