- The Rev. Walter Vogelmann, 57, Brookfield, Wis., died Wednesday in Deaconess Hospital, Milwaukee after a long illness with Parkinson disease, according to word received by Mrs. Virgil F. Kent, 824 South Clinton St.
Mrs. Kent is a sister of Mrs. Vogelmann, the former Florence Hathaway.
The Rev. Mr. Vogelmann served as chaplain for two years of Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee prior to his illness.
He had held pastorates at St, John's United Church of Chris, Elmore, Ohio; Emmanuel Church, Shaker Heights, 20 years; and St. Stephen's Church, Merrill, Wis., 10 years, before becoming chaplain of the hospitial.
He was a graduate of Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Ill., attended Western Reserve university and studies classical German in Germany.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Janke and Julie, at home; and three sons, David, Wheaton, Ill. and Tom and Stephen at home.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Gerber funeral home., Milwaukee, and graveside rites will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Quinshan cemetery near Gibsonburg.
The Rev. Mr. Vogelmann was from Buffalo originally.
