Mrs. Maude Vogt, 78, a former
Niagara Falls resident,
died Thursday (Feb. 1, 1962)
in Tucson, Ariz., where she
had resided the last 14 years.
Mrs. Vogt and her husband,
the l a t e J. Whitney Vogt,
lived here at 4810 Lewiston
Road . ,for 15 years before
moving to Buffalo in 1920.
Her husband died here in
1950.
At one lime he operated a
souvenir store and car agency
here. The Vogt family operated
a farm in Lewiston
Road just south of the Devil's
Hole.
She is survived by a daughter,
Betty Vogt, with whom
she lived in Tucson, and a son,
Clifton W. Vogt. Delmar, N.Y.
A sister, Mrs. Earl Hauman,
North Tonawanda, and two
nieces, Esther Warner, and
Mrs. Forrest Barter, this city,
also survive.
Mrs. Vogt was a member
of the First Presbyterian
Church here, and the Town
Club of Buffalo. She was also
a member of Buffalo's Park
Club.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 11 a.m. Wednesday
at the Cornell and Daggett
Funeral Home. Rev. John
Toay, pastor of First Presbyterian
Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverdale
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
