Mr. and Mrs. August Behner
celebrated their Golden Wedding
Anniversary on Tuesday, May 1
in their home, 12 Park avenue.
Over 75 guests, relatives and
friends of the couple, attended the
buffet luncheon and reception in
honor of the occasion.
The luncheon table was covered
with a beautiful lace cloth and
centered with a two tier wedding
cake flanked by tall white candles
in crystal holders. Mr. and Mrs.
Behner were the recipients of
many lovely gifts and the rooms
were decorated with baskets and
bouquets of gift flowers.
Mr. and Mrs. Behner were married
50 years ago in the parsonage
of Salem Evangelical and Reformed
Church by the Rev. Wittlinger.
They are the parents of two children,
a son, Arthur Behner of
North Tonawanda, and a daughter,
Mrs. Norman Goerss of Tonawanda*
They have one grandchild,
Violet Behner.
Guest* were present from Albion,
Buffalo, Niagara Falls and
the Tonawandas. Charles Volkstadt,
who attended Mr. and Mrs.
Behner as best man, was among
the guests.
