  Niagara Gazette - 4/8/1962 LOCKPORT-Mrs. Gertrude E. Volls, 73, of 49 Nicholls St., wife of Fred W. Volls, died Monday (April 2, 1962) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She retired in 1945 after being employed at Harrison Radiator Division, General Motors Corp. She was born May 21, 1888, at Orangeport, daughter of Charles and Ber- tha Berndt Hofert. She had lived in Lockport for 46 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Mrs. Edward Noon; a sister, Mrs. Laura Chase; a brother, Walter Hofert, all of Lockport, a grandson and two great-grandchildren. Rev. Robert E. Heffner, First English L u t h e r a n Church, Lockport, will conduct services at 2 p.m., Thursday at the Gaul F u n e r a l Home. Burial will be in Wright's Corners Cemetery
