  Niagara Gazette - 11/5/1955 LOCKPORT, Nov. 5 - Mrs. Minnie Volschow, 80, died yesterday (Nov. 4. 1955) after a brief illness. She lived with a daughter, Mrs. Edward W. Kandt, 418 Pine St. She was the widow of Charles L. Volschow, who died in 1914. Mr. Volschow was a clothing merchant operating stores at Lockport and Medina. Mrs Volschow was born Jan. 5, 1875, a daughter of the la,te Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Smith. Surviving, in addition to her daughter, is a son, Harold W. Volschow; four brothers. Charles Smith, Burt; Louis Smith, Olcolt, Theodore Smith, Lockport, and Herman Smith, Ncwfane; three sisters, Mrs. Theodore Volschow, Ncwfane, Mrs. William Lindkc, Angola, and Mrs. Everett Van- Duscn, Lockport; and a step-sister, Mrs. William Hoffmaster, Lockport. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Pruddcn and Kandt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
