Mrs. Elizabeth Helen Joy,
of 1637 Weston Ave., former
president of the Auxiliary of
John J. Welch Post No. 381,
American Legion, died Sunday
(Jan. 5, 1964) after a long
illness. She was 69.
A native of Buffalo, Mrs.
Joy lived in Niagara Falls for
67 years. She was a member
of the Past Presidents Club
of the John J. Welch Post
Auxiliary and the Women's
Department at the Reorgan
ized Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints. She also
taught Sunday School at the
church.
Her husband, Victor C. Joy,
is secretary of the Republican
City Committee.
Surviving, in addition to
her husband, are two.daughters,
Mrs. Robert Manning,
and Mrs. William Waggoner,
both of.Niagara Falls -two
brothers, David A. Wilcox, of
Portage La Prairie, Manitoba,
Canada, and Edward Walters,
of British Columbia, and nine
grandchildren.
Services will be held at
2 p.m. We.dnesday at the Hardison-
lngram Funeral Home.
Officiating will be Elder Clifford
SpilsbUry, of the Reorganized
Church of Jesus
Christ. Burial will be in Memorial
Park Cemetery.
The auxiliary of John J.
Welch Post will conduct a
memorial service at the fu-
neral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The family will be present
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
