The marriage of Mias Genevieve A.
Wahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam
E. Wahl of La Salle avenue, to Robert
H. Pitts, son of Mr. and Mrs. James
T. Pitts of Knoxville, Term., was solemnized
at 5:30 o'clock on Saturday
afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran
church. Rev. Ziemer performed the
ceremony. The church waa decorated
with fall flowers and the altar was
banked with ferns and palms. The
bride, who was given in marriage by
her father, was lovely in a gown of
white satin made on Princess lines. Her
long tulle veil was, caught to a close
fitting cap of tulle with clusters of
orange blossoms. She carried a shower
bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley
and babies' breath. Miss Gertrude L.
Wahl was the bride's only attendant
and she was gowned in flowered chiffon
and wore a pink horsehair hat and
pink mitts. She carried an arm bouquet,
of pink rosea. Arthur T. Briggs
was the best roan, and the ushers were
Arthur and Edgar Schultz. The bride's
mother was gowned in black chiffon.
Before the ceremony, Sylvester Hannlgan
sang "O Promise Me." Immediately
following the ceremony a reception
was held at the home of the. bride's
parents. The guests Included Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Cornell and daughter,
Dolly; Mrs. Alex Haseley, Mrs. Mary
Wagner, Mrs. Margaret Bunce and
daughter, Lorraine; Mrs. Mary Wahl,
Mr. George Wahl, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester
Hannlgan, Miss Dorothy Eddy,
and Mrs. Arthur T. Briggs.
Mr. and Mrs. Pitts left on an extended
trip through the.south, the later
traveling in an attractive printed
gown of blue with a matching hat.
Upon their return they will make their
home'at 2203 La Salle avenue.
