- David A. Van Wagner, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 20, 2022. Born in West Bingham, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Hazel (Connolly) Van Wagner.
David moved to Niagara Falls with his family and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School. He married his beloved wife, Linda (Fickett) Van Wagner on April 27, 1966 in Prince of Peace Church. He was employed at Keller Technology in Tonawanda, NY, as a machine assembler for over 40 years prior to retiring in 2001.
David was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, where he was a member of the Catholic Brotherhood, and volunteered assisting at the concession stand during Bingo. He enjoyed woodworking, as well as golfing and bowling. Above all, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, David Paul (Katy Stinnet) Van Wagner and Melanie Van Wagner; his granddaughter, Rachael Van Wagner and great-granddaughter, Charlotte; three siblings, James (Denise) Van Wagner, Linda (Keith) Torgerson and Dan Van Wagner; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 28 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. David’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
