General Hospital after several
months illness. Born
in DuBois, Pa., she had
been a resident of the
Tonawandas for more than
50 years and was the wife
of Richard Lynn who died
in 1971, daughter of the late
John and Lutetia Ross and
sister of the late Florence
P. Ross, John V. (Frances)
Ross and Janet I Ross
Mrs. Balls was a member
of Tonawanda United
M e t h o d i s t Church,
Augustus H. Crown
Chapter 619, OES and
Messiah Shrine No. 18,
She is survived by her
husband, William J. Balls,
six sisters, Mrs. Catherine
(Edwin) Briggs of Sanb
o r n , Mrs. Robert
(Dorothy) Scott and Mrs
Frank (Ann) Gentzke, both
of Tonawanda, Mrs
Donald (Nancy) Thorpe of
Williamsville, Mrs. Marion
(Richard) Miller of the
Town of Tonawanda, and
Mrs. Thomas (Jessie)
Garrity, also of Tonawan-
da; two brothers, Samuel
(Ethel) Ross of Tonawanda
and William (Frances)
Ross of North Tonawanda
and many nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call
Tuesday evening from 7 to
9 and Wednesday 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m., at John O Roth
Funeral Home, Inc.,
Morgan and William Sts.,
Tonawanda where services
will be conducted at one
o'clock Thursday by the
Rev. Eldon D. Snyder
Burial will be in Elmlawn
Cemetery. If desired, memorial
contributions may
be made to the American
Cancer Society.
