- William “Bill” Joseph Nemeth, Jr., 70, of Niagara Falls, passed from this earthly life on Tuesday January 12, 2021. Bill was born December 29, 1950 in Niagara Falls, the son of the late William and Inez (Willis) Nemeth Sr.
Bill attended local schools and was a 1969 graduate of LaSalle Senior High School. Upon graduation he attended the former Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and graduated as a NYS Licensed Radiologic Technologist. He was employed at several local hospitals as an X-ray Technician. He then changed careers and was employed as a chemical operator at the E.I. DuPont Company’s Buffalo Avenue Plant where he retired. Following his retirement he was employed for many years as a funeral assistant at the Lane Funeral Home.
He was a lifelong member of Riverside Presbyterian Church. During his spare time, Bill enjoyed attending LaSalle Class of 1969 functions, the 50’s music, woodworking and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his daughters Amy (Steve) McFarland of Atlanta, GA., and Sarah (Brent) Bays of San Antonia, TX., a sister Barbara “Babs” (John) DeMarco of Niagara Falls, his grandchildren Jacob & Hannah Fuller and Austin Bays. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews and extended family.
In addition to his late parents, he was predeceased by his sister Judy Ulias and his wife Ruth VanDeBogart Nemeth who passed January 6, 2021.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to honor and celebrate the lives of Bill and Ruth on SATURDAY, JUNE 12th, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Riverside Presbyterian Church, 815 84th Street corner of Lindbergh Ave., Niagara Falls. Private interment will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
