  August 16, 2014 James A. Donner Lockport Union-Sun & Journal NEWFANE - James A. Donner, age 71, of Newfane, entered into rest on Friday, August 15, 2014, at his home. Born June 6, 1943 in Cambria, Jim was the son of the late Alfred L. and Helen E. (Dreier) Donner. James married Karen Felton March 12, 1965 in Lockport. He worked at Harrison Radiator as a repairman until he retired in 1994. James enjoyed camping with friends, farming and playing Euchre. Surviving James is his wife, Karen Donner; children, Susan (Jerome) Chambers of Wilson and James (Christine) of Newstead; grandchildren, Jerome Chambers and Michael Donner; and sister, Nancy Noon of Lockport. He was predeceased by a sister, Sally Winchell. Also surviving Jim are several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Niagara Hospice.
