  Niagara Gazette - 12/26/1962 Fred Voelker,. 52, of 3118 Saunders Settlement Rd., Sanborn, was pronounced dead on arrival today at Memorial Hospital where he was taken after a car he was driving left Ward Road, near Saunders Settlement Road, Town of Lewiston, and crashed into a ditch and telephone pole. State police at the Military Road substation said the ac- cident happened as Voelker was en route to work about 7:30 a.m. Coroner F. Eugene Ingram said he was withholding a death certificate pending an investigation. State police said there was a possibility the man may have been stricken ill before the accident. , A native of Niagara Falls, Mr. Voelker was employed as an electrician for the Electrometallurgical Division of the Union Carbide Chemicals Corp. He lived most of his life in Niagara Falls before moving to Sanborn. He was the youngest of five sons of the late Fred and Sarah Voelker. Two brothers. Lawrence and Roy, predeceased him. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Viola Voelker; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Charlotte) Bruening, Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Edward (Shirley) Graham, St. Paul, Minn.; two brothers, Chester Voelker, Fort Latidcrdale ,FlaM and Marvin Voelker, this city; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews., Funeral arrangements are being completed at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home, Sanborn.
