- Martha (Walasek) Bulinski passed away peacefully on August 23, at home under the care of her daughter and son in-law and Niagara Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Casimir and Caroline Walasek and married the love of her life, Fred Bulinski in 1945.Martha attended St. Stanislaus Kostka school and graduated from Trott High School at the age 16. She worked as a secretary and comptometer operator in the business office of the carborundum Company in Niagara Falls and after raising her family, as a sales associate for Kmart until her retirement in 1989. She was also very active during her younger years in the St. Stanislaus Kostka mother's club.Martha also conducted, along with her husband, annual bus trips for well over 20 years to Polka Motion by the ocean, in Ocean City, Maryland. She hosted many back yard parties for her family over the years and was admired for her delicious cooking and baking.Along with her beautiful smile, Martha will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, courage, love of family, love of continued learning and for impressing upon her family the importance of these virtues.She is survived by her children, Fred (Marsha)Bulinski, dr. Daniel (Susan) Bulinski and Dr. Suzanne (Dr. Alfredo Torres, MD); sister, Theresa Zielinski; grandchildren, Karen Mathison, Dr. Katherine (Ned)Bulinski and Joseph Bulinski; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred (recipient of three Purple Hearts); sisters, Bernadette Lachowski, Renee Dunaj, Estelle Hriczak, Celia Wisz, Clara Zankowski, Katherine Apen and Sophie Bozek; brothers, Henry and William Walasek.Friends may call Thursday, August 26th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Friday, August 27th at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial following in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
