Miss Lena D. Weber, a daughter Of
Mrs. Anna Weber, and sister of August
J. and Charles A. and Mrs. J. F. O'Connell
and Miss Agnes Weber all of this
city, died early today, at the famlly
home No. 720 Willow avenue. Funeral
will take place from Sacred Heart
church, south avenue, at nine o'clock
Friday morning, burial to be in St.
Mary's cemetery.
Miss Weber was a member of one of
ths best known families In Niagara.
pioneers of the north end section. She
was native of the city and had a wide
circle of friends who were devoted to
her because of her benign disposition.
Schooled according to the ethics of the
every day traditions, she never deviated
from the path pointed out to her by her
devoted parents. In the hour of need
Miss Weber, true to the Instinct of the
Golden Rule, was among the first If
not the first, to offer relief to the
stricken. A devoted communicant of
Sacred Heart church, she was the con-
stant companion of her mother when
attending the regular and special ex-
ercises held there. She was vitally in-
terested In the success of the several
organizatlons Identified with that
church. Miss Weber had been in ill
health for several months and her con-
dition became serious a few weeks ago
All that medical skill could accomplish
was Invoked but the patient sank grad-
ually until the end came today as she
was surrounded by her Immediate fam-
ily. Her death Is a keen blow. not only
to her own family, but to those who
had grown to love and respect her won-
derful personality.
