AMHERST —
Joanne M. (Weidert) Coscia, 59, of Amherst, NY, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst, NY. She was the daughter of Marion (Bartlett) Weidert of Niagara Falls, NY and the late William Weidert.
Joanne attended local schools and graduated in 1972 from LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls, NY. On September 16, 1978, she married Gary J. Coscia in St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Over the years, Joanne has actively assisted with the various operations of the family business. Joanne enjoyed visiting friends in Sarasota, FL and her daughter in Chicago, IL, and lived for her grandchildren, especially the new twins.
In addition to her mother and her husband of thirty-four years, Joanne is survived by two children, Kelli (Paul) Giannopulos of Chicago, IL and Kevin Coscia of Miami, FL; three grandchildren, Lucas, Gabriella, and Alexa; her sister, Dianne (John) Rosini of Lancaster, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Friday, June 21st at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Stewart Lindsay officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
