  Niagara Gazette - 1/30/1954 LOCKPORT, Jan. 30 - Levy Altrogge, 71, of Clarence Center, assessor for the .township for the last eight, years, died yesterday afternoon in his automobile of a heart attack. He had been under a doctor's care for eight months. Born in the Town of Clarence, June 17, 1882, Mr. Altrogge was the son of Henry and Minnie Altrogge. He was.a farmer, a director of the Amherst-Clarence' Fire Insurance Co., the Swarmsville Vol- unteer Fire Dept., and the Evangelic Lutheran Church. He was an Odd Fellow, Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Haak, and one daughter, Mrs. Archie Hagelberger, of Gettsville. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. .at the Altrogge Home.
