  April 18, 2013 Gene Robert Heppner The Tonawanda News TYLER, TX — Gene Robert Heppner, 81, passed away on April 18, 2013 at the Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler, TX. Mr. Heppner was predeceased by his wife of 24 years, Bernice, in 2011. He is survived by a brother, Nelson Heppner, North Tonawanda, NY; a daughter, Genelle Roselli, Tyler, TX; and two grandsons, Dominick and Steven Roselli; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Heppner was a career Navy man who served his country with honor and distinction during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
