  Kathleen (Smith) Bronson, longtime area resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital. She was 68. She was born in Blackpool, England on October 23, 1947, a daughter of the late William A. and Agnes (Maxwell) Smith. She attended schools in Scotland and moved to the United States after marrying Kenneth Bronson in 1972. Mrs. Bronson worked at Voyager Emblem and then at the Summit Motor Inn. She enjoyed gardening, “Sunday (mystery) drives”, bingo, online games and scratch off lottery tickets. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth Bronson, three children: Karen, Kristian and Kerriann Bronson. She is also survived by four siblings: Mary Smith, William Smith, Walter “Ned” (Joyce) Smith and Robert (Margaret) Smith all of Scotland. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three siblings: Eileen Jones, and Jean and John Smith. There will be no prior visitation. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery in Amherst.
