- Allan E. Werth, age 91 of Bergholz, in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, was called peacefully to his heavenly home on October 9, 2023 at his residence. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on February 27, 1932; the son of Arnold and Myrtle (Heppner) Werth. Allan served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed for forty years as an accountant at Columbus McKinnon, in North Tonawanda, until his retirement. A longtime member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church; he enjoyed hunting, playing cards and dominos. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey M. (Storbeck) Werth on March 5, 2023; a son, Gary Werth; and sister, Shirley Miller.Survivors include two daughters, Debra (Frank) Yeamans, and Darla Werth (Matthew Shields); eight grandchildren, Nicole Carlson, Chad Ammon, Erica Carlson, Kevin Romero, Jessica Werth, Brandon Mincey, Melissa Werth, and Allison Werth; four great-grandchildren, Josh Ammon, Devyn Romero, Emily Ammon, and Benjamin Mincey; and a great-great-grandson, Levi Ammon.Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Luther Street in Bergholz. The Rev. Denton White, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, or to the Kidney Foundation. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, NY.
