  Niagara Gazette - 12/26/1944 Passes in Hospital Mrs. Ruth M. Whitcher, 42. of 2209 LaSalle avenue, wife of Charles W. Whitcher, manager of the Loblaw store in Eighteenth street, died in Memorial hospital last evening two hours after she was admitted. Dr. Edward E. Gillick, city health of- fleer, said that she had been ill for several days and that death resulted from natural causes. Mrs. Whitcher was a native of Ni- agara Falls and a member of the ladies auxilliary of Post 54, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Besides her hus- band, she is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Frances Brown, of this city. Services will be held at the Grid- ley funeral home at 3 p.m. Thurs- day with the Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer officiating. Interment will be made in Oakwood cemetery.
