 Mrs. Eva J. Whitcher, 72, of
 751 Pierce Ave. died Sunday
 (Feb. 21, 1971) in in Memorial
 Medical Center after a long
 illness.
 Born in Stillwater, she had
 lived in Niagara Falls for 35
 years.
 Mrs. Whitcher was p a s t
 president of the Indian of the
 Mighty River Mothers Club of
 St. Peter's Episcopal Church,
 past chief of Gray Buck
 Military Order of Cootiettes,
 Club No. 144, former member
 of the Women of the Moose
 and a 26-year member of Ladies
 Auxiliary Post 54, Veteran of
 Foriegn Wars.
 Survivors are her husband,
 Charles W. Whitcher of this
 city; three sons, Richard Metcalfe
 of this city, Lawrence B
 Metzalfe of Buffalo and Ray-
 mond Metcalfe of Washington,
 D.C; two daughters, Mrs. Ray
 (Ethel) Rinker of this city, and
 Mrs. Ralph (Lenita) McGarvey
 Jr. of St. Charles, Mo.; 14
 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.
 A son, George
 Metcalfe, predeceased her in
 1967.
 Funeral services will be held
 at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion
 Lutheran Church with t h e
 pastor the Rev. J. David Mumford,
 officiating. Burial will be
 in Riverdale Cemetery.
 Friends may call Tuesday
 and Wednesday from 2 to 5
 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Otto
 Redanz Funeral Home.
 Memorial services will be
 held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday
 by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary
 at the funeral home.
