TOWN OF NIAGARA — Harold Kneeppel, of the Town of Niagara, died on Monday, March 14, 2011 in Schoelkopf Health Care Center. He was 77. He was born in Model City on December 15, 1933, a son of the late Harold and Lzora (White) Kneeppel. He attended area schools.
Mr. Kneeppel was employed by E.I. DuPont as a chemical engineer for 40 years retiring in 1992. Following his retirement, Harry worked for Niagara Falls Coach Lines for 14 years. An avid outdoorsman, Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling to Cape Cod. He was a member of the Buff Social Club and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Brannan) Kneeppel; a daughter, Roxanne E. Kneeppel of Niagara Falls; a sister, JoAnn Smith (Don) of Ransomville; a brother, LaMont Kneeppel (Karen) of Ransomville; his sister-in-law, Mary Neadow of Niagara Falls; two grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Bayne of Niagara Falls; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Diane Kneeppel in 1977.
Friends may call on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-8 PM at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY.
