Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carlisle, Jr.,
entertained at an informal cocktail
tea at their home on McKoon avenue
yesterday afternoon In honor of Miss
Mae Comerford and Elmore Wahl,
whose marriage will take place the
last of this month. Mrs. John W.
Ripple and Mrs. Charles Carlisle, Sr.,
presided at the tea table, while John
W. Ripple, Jr. poured cocktails. The
able assistants included the Misses
Rosamond Comerford, Ethel Wilson,
Leah Fischer and Mr. and Mrs. C.
Harrison Noll, of Buffalo. The beau-
tifully laid table was covered with
an Italian cut work cloth with a
centerpiece composed of lillies-of-the-
valley and ivory tapers in silver hold-
ers, all on mirrors illuminated by
electric lights concealed in ferns.

Miss Mae Loretta Comerford,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E.
Comerford, of Ferry avenue, became
the bride of Elmore J. Wahl, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wahl, of Six-
teenth streetm, at 12 o'clock noon to-
day, in the rectory of St. Mary's of
the Cataract. The Rev. C. F. Kil-
leen officiated.
The bride wore a gown of white
satin, featuring princess lines and
fashioned with a short train. The
waist had a bertha of Dutchess lace
and was made with long sleeves end-
ing in mitt-like cuffs. She wore a
halo hat of Dutchess lace, tulle and
satin, tied with a chin strap of the
tulle and satin. Her colonial bou-
quet was of white roses, white sweet
peas and forget-me-nots, tied with
streamers of white satin ribbon. Miss
Rosamond H. Comerford, who was
maid of honor and only attendant of
her sister, wore a frock of brown net
over brown taffeta, fashioned with a
circular flounce of the net and a pink
pique Jacket. Pink lace mitts and
a large pink pique hat completed her
attire and she carried a colonial bouquet
of Talisman roses and gypsophela,
tied with streamers of pink
tulle.
Gordon A. Wahl. brother of the
bridegroom, was best man.
Following the- ceremony a luncheon
was given at the home of the
bride's parents for the immediate
families. A reception was held at
Henry Neff's from 5 until 8 o'clock.
Following a motor trip through
New England, Mr. and Mrs. Wahl
will be at home after July 14 at 1910
Sixteenth street for the summer
months. The bride's golng-away outfit
was a navy chiffon suit with yellow
accessories.
