  Niagara Gazette - 8/23/1894 Sophia C. Garrett died at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Whitney, on the Lockport road, last night, in her 68th year. The deceased was born in the Isle ot Man and came to the United States when a child. For A time her home was near Rochester, later on moving to the town of Niagara, where she has ever since resided. The funeral will be held from the Whitney residence at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon. The interment will be in Oakwood.
