  Niagara Gazette - 6/24/1960 Funeral services and burial will be conducted Saturday in Tampa, Fla., for Charles W. Vogt, 78, a native of this city who died Wednesday (June 22, 1960) at his home in St. Petersburg, Fla. The son of the late Jacob B. and Mary Whitney Vogt, both descendants of pioneer Niagara Falls families, Mr. Vogt attended schools in this city and was graduated from Syracuse University. He settled in Tampa, where he operated a welding business after graduating from college. In 1921, he married the former Pearl Candee, supervisor of art in the Niagara Falls schools system. They made their home in Tampa until his retirement about 10 years ago when they spent their summer in the North, v i s i t i n g here often. They moved to 525 14th Ave. NE, St. Petersburg, two years ago. Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Vogt, are a brother, Dr. Clarence Vogt, Sarasota, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Welch, Sarasota, and Mrs. Fred Ackerson, this city.
