  Marie Shafer Marie E. Shafer, 81, of 1810 Saunders Settlement Road was pronounced dead on arrival at Mount St. Mary's Hospital Wednesday (May 10, 1978) after suffering an apparent heart attack. She was born in Carnegie, Pa., and was a longtime resident of this area. She was employed for several years by the Nabisco Co. Surviving are her husband, Roy, one son, William (Billy) Springfleld of Alexander, Va., one stepson, Roy J. (Hazel) Falkner of Youngstown and Mrs. Loren (Dolores) Dick of Centerport, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Michigan Avenue at 10th Street, with the Rev. J. David Mumford officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Nursery Fund or the charity of one's choice, the family said.
