Mrs. Emma Platts. of 7813
Edison Ave., a member and
former officer of several local
women's organizations,
died .at Memorial Hospital
Sunday (Nov. 5, 1962) after a
short illness. She was 78.
Mrs. Platts, a native of
Hamilton. Ont.. lived in Niagara
Falls for the last 35
years.
She was a charter member
of R i v e r side Presbyterian
Church. Her group memberships
included Star of La-
Salle Chapter No. 785. Order
of the Eastern Star; Dorothy
Bell Rebekah Lodge No. 462,
IOOF; past matron of Star of
LaSalle, Chapter No. 785,
OES; and past noble grand
Belleville, Ont., Rebekah
Lodhe, IOOF. She was also a
member of the LaSalle Grand-
mothers Club.
Surviving are two daugh-
ters, Mrs. Earl Hilts and Mrs.
Clarence Williams, both of
this city; a son, Harvey
Sprague, this city; seven
grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.
Services will be held at
1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Riv-
erside Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Alan J. Perrine will of-
ficate. Burial will be in Mem-
orial Park Cemetery.
