- North Tonawanda NY Evening News
WILLIAMS - Jerome Williams,
74, of 276 Tremont St., North Ton-
awanda, died unexpectedly Fri-
day evening (Oct. 24, 1958) at his
home. He was born in Tanners-
ville. Pa., and had lived in North
Tonawanda 41 years. He was pres-
ident of the Bennett Lumber Corp.
Mr. Williams was a member of
Grace Lutheran Church ; a mem-
ber and past master of Suther-
land Lodge 826, F&AM; past dis-
trict depeuty of the Niagara-Or-
leans District, and a member of
Tonawanda Commandary 78, KT,
Tonawanda Chapter 278, RAM, Is-
malia Temple of the Shrine in Buf-
falo, Tonawanda Shrine Club,
Electric City Lodge 663, IOOD,
and the Rotary Club of the Ton-
awandas; director of the Niagara
Savings and Loan Association,
and treasurer of the St. John's
Home for children.
Surviving are his wife, Eliza-
beth Hittinger Williams; one son,
Edgar R, of the Town of Tona-
wanda; one daughter, Mrs. Ru-
dolf Rick of Tonawanda; two
brothers, Philip of Stroudsburg,
Pa., and Bernard of Philadelphia,
Pa., and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Wat-
tengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver
St., North tonawanda, where
services will be held at 2 p.m.
Monday. The Rev. Herman B.
Miller will officiate. Burial in Ac-
acia Park. Masonic memorial
services will be held at 8 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home. In
lieu of flowers contributions may
be made to the Memorial Fund of
Grace Lutheran Church.
